A giant crater on Mars may have been able to support microbial life for millions of years in the ancient past.

NASA's Curiosity rover is continuing to help scientists piece together the mystery of how Mars lost its surface water over the course of billions of years.

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has found a new route to some interesting rocks after its original path proved too difficult to traverse.

Curiosity's project scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory Ashwin Vasavada said that it is the first time that NASA has dedicated its operations to capture a 360-degree panorama.

The remote working stakes have just gone up a notch

In images that surfaced online the rover's journey through Mars' landscape is laid bare. One the left is an image taken shortly after Curiosity landed on Mars while the right shows a snapshot from October.

NASA shared a high-resolution panorama of 'Glen Torridon' on Mars that is comprised of over 1,000 images and contains 1.8 billion pixels. The images were taken from Nov. 24-Dec.1.

NASA's curiosity rover has identified signs of thiophenes on the surface of the red planet and Washington State University astronomers believe they were formed by biological processes.

The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory team continue to explore red planet despite not being able to go into their California office or use high-end workstations.
