On December 7th, the kunstform Stock Session will take place in our Shop in Stuttgart! Like the last years, BMX fun in a boozy atmosphere & the smallest of spaces is guaranteed.

We will start from 3 - 6 pm with a relaxed "Voucher for Tricks" pre-session in the covered Stuttgart's Pragfriedhof. Whether kids, beginners, advanced or pro, everyone has the opportunity to win a kunstform voucher!

At the same time there will also be a BMX Flatland Jam wit Best Trick Contest from 3 - 6 pm in our kunstform Stock Room. There's 300 Euro prize money for the winner and every BMXer is allowed to participate!

From 6 - 10 pm, the session will then be relocated to the small but fine kunstform Stock Room. A Best Trick Battle Contest with 1000 Euro prize money will take place on small obstacles such as the Subrosa Streetrail, a small Grindbox or a Wallride under difficult room height conditions. The contest is kindly supported by Sunday Bikes and Subrosa.

As part of the 20Inch Trophy BMX Contest, we sent almost our entire BMX Team to Innsbruck. Unfortunately, the weather on this BMX trip was not too good. The first BMX Street video of Deaphmute Gang is finally here! The BMX crew from the Stuttgart area around Fabio Etzel, Florian Forest, Pirmin Truck, Lorenz Koch, Karim Aaron and Mark Glen have been hunting down various spots in Stuttgart and the surrounding area for over a year. They stacked a lot of clips that Karim then cut to this final audiovisual BMX piece. The premiere of the Deaphmute Gang BMX video also happened to take place on the big screen in advance of the Kink "Champaigne" video premiere in Stuttgart.

During this year's stock session, almost our entire BMX Team came to Stuttgart to celebrate 2019 and to have a good time in general. As there is BMX-only session from 6 p.m. on Thursdays in the Stuttpark Indoor Park, we did not miss the opportunity to ride together and stack clips until deep into the night. The 20th edition of the annual Simple Session contest series, one of the world's most iconic action sports events will take on the heart of the notorious Nordic winter in 2019, taking place on February 8 –9, in Tallinn Estonia. Over 140 riders from all over the world will participate at Simple Session 20


This year Felix Prangenberg, Miguel Smajli, Robin Kachfi, Felix Donat, Justin Rudd and Lara Lessmann will represent kunstform BMX Shop at the Simple Session 19 in category street and park.

Our Bro Ricky Felchner is unfortunately fighting with a shoulder injury for some longer time. Since the healing process will still continue, Ricky has decided to start riding his BMX only again in 2021. That is of course a shame, but anyone who knows Ricky knows that he is not easy to get down. For motivation purposes we got you a short clip with a bunch of mini ramp tech by Ricky. Usually we run the kunstform stock session at the first weekend of december where almost the entire german BMX scene met to just have fun and ride BMX in our little stock room at our BMX Shop in Stuttgart. On Saturday, July 23, 2022, the kunstform X Subrosa Streetrail Battle will take place in the center of Königstraße! Plenty of Subrosa streetrails, ledges and various smaller ramps are provided.

We will start from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. with a relaxed "free riding" session, which will then continue into the warm-up of the kids class (up to 14 years) from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. strong> to the Kids BMX Best Trick Contest from 2 - 3 p.m..

At 3 p.m. the warm-up of the AM class continues and at 4 p.m. the best trick contest in the AM class starts here too.

In the late afternoon at 5 p.m. the Pro warm-up starts and from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. the BMX Best Trick Battle of the Pros takes place. Here you can win a whole 1000 euros in prize money!

A best trick format contest was held in the KIDS, AM and PRO classes and our friend David Schaler made a video of the event and the pictures are from Smail Mast's camera.

A few years ago we had the honor of taking part in the Vans “The Circle” video contest with our BMX shop. We invited our team riders to Stuttgart and we all had a great time, with really relaxed and motivating sessions. Before the best riders of the year were chosen at the freedombmx Awards 2022 in the Skatehalle Berlin, physical training was first on the agenda.

Freedom BMX Magazin captured the highlights of the @vans X @kunstformbmxshop Rail Session, where a mad mob grinded down the railing and the ledge next to it for 15 minutes and then 15 minutes in moving images.

20 Years of kunstform: How It All Began?! Around the 2000s, Stuttgart, partly due to the excellent BMX Flatland spot 'Haus der Geschichte' and riders like Stephan 'Ass' Dietrich and Philip Jakober, held a magical allure. Many BMX riders from all over Germany, including Sebastian Pospischil, Florian Sailer, Moritz Edschmid, Philip Früh, Roman Rommel, and later, Daniel Fuhrmann, John Krämer, Oliver Radunz, and many more, moved to Stuttgart. The scene thrived, and it gave rise to unforgettable parties and events like the BMX Contest series 'Battle in the Club' and many BMX jams.

Sebastian Pospischil, while studying, initiated the kunstform project from his BMX flatshare in 2003. Initially, he imported smaller BMX brands like Artzone, Jim Bob, and FlatTV. The first website went live under the domain www.kunstform.org, and the initial team riders, Chris Böhm, Daniel Hennig, and Sven Steinbach, received support through kunstform.

Between 2003 and 2005 the BMX scene in Stuttgart experienced continuous growth. Our inventory of BMX parts was constantly expanded and at the same time we launched our online shop, which enabled our customers to conveniently place orders online. We were also represented at various events, including the BMX Masters in Cologne and smaller BMX flatland jams, where we had our own stand. During this time, unforgettable parties, jams and competitions took place. Even internationally known BMX riders such as Nathan Penonzcek, Michael Sommer, Jesse Puente and Hiro Morisaki visited Stuttgart. Our Japanese BMX friend Daiske spent nine months in Stuttgart, where he lived in Seppl's shared apartment on Hackstrasse.

At this time we also launched our first kunstform product, the "kunstform Ohh-Rings". These made it possible to adjust the handle length according to individual preferences. Furthermore, our first kunstform commercial was broadcast on the most common European BMX VHS cassettes.

A new "LinkOut" feature introduced by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) NCBI’s allows the easy linking to content on PubMed and GenBank.  Dryad has already introduced the feature benefitting from easy and fast linking of associated content to the two resources.

PubMed and GenBank, from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), are hugely popular resources for searching and retrieving article abstracts and nucleotide sequence data, respectively.  PubMed indexes the vast majority of the biomedical literature, and deposition of nucleotide sequences in GenBank or one of the other INSDC databases is a near universal requirement for publication in a scientific journal. LinkOut allows the data from an article to be distributed among repositories without compromising its discoverability.

Dryad, intends to expand on this feature in a couple of ways. First, it is planned to make Dryad content searchable via the PubMed and GenBank identifiers, which because of their wide use will provide a convenient gateway for other biomedical databases to link out to Dryad.  Second, open web standards will be used to expose relationships between content in Dryad and other repositories, not just NCBI.
